Computer Operator - ADC&SW Society
- The Alleppey Diocesan Charitable and Social Welfare Society - My first
job, as a Computer Operator. ADC&SW Society was managed by Alleppey Diocese and directed by Rev. Fr. Antony. The activities of the
society spread towards the poor people especially in the society of fishermen. The
society raised lots of schemes and funds to help the people.
- Normally the society raised the
fund from abroad by sending various projects and schemes and the catholic
societies in abroad should approve the projects and we should sent the complete
report of the activities to them.
- As a computer operator my duty was to prepare the projects and reports and all the data entry works in the computer. During that time I was so happy to teach others about the basics of the computer, because only few people were good to operate the computer and I was one among that and I enjoyed my profession.
- Still, I remember booting the
system by using MS DOS comments and by using the floppy disk. That was a
wonderful experience in my life just after completing my graduation and my
PGDCA.
